Decide whether you want to use a mobile proxy app, the BedrockConnect DNS method, or a PC command-line tool (for advanced users).
BedrockTogether (mobile proxy app; see this website for a tutorial on the PC command-line tool method or the BedrockConnect DNS method)
Download BedrockTogether free from Google Play or the Apple App Store. The free version has ads, but you can pay to remove them.
Open the app
Type rUnderMC's Bedrock IP address (found on the home page) into the 'IP:' box
Type rUnderMC's Bedrock Port (found on the home page) into the 'Port:' box
Click on the green 'Watch Ad and Run' button beneath the address boxes
Wait for the ad to finish playing and then click the X in the top right to exit out of it
Open Minecraft on your Playstation and click on the Play button on the main page
Navigate to the Friends tab and locate the LAN Games section
When the BedrockTogether game appears, click it to join rUnderMC
Keep the app running the whole time you play (closing it ends the connection). The LAN game can take a few minutes to appear after you start the app. Both your phone and Playstation must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Note: Please see this website for troubleshooting and/or alternative tutorials.
Cry because you're playing on Xbox or Switch, making joining somehow even MORE complicated than on Playstation

Open your System Settings from the home screen. Afterward, scroll down and select 'Internet', then select 'Internet Settings'
Wait for it to finish searching for networks, then click on the network you are currently on
In this new area, click 'Change Settings' and switch DNS settings to Manual.
Change the 'Primary DNS' to the IP you chose in the previous step
For the 'Secondary DNS' setting, enter 8.8.8.8/008.008.008.008 or 1.1.1.1/001.001.001.001

rUnder Discord rules apply here.
Remember that everything you say is relayed to the Discord.
No griefing, trolling, etc.
This should go without saying, but if you're banned from the Discord you are not welcome in rUnderMC.
Feel free to have multiple conversations at once (Minecraft does not have channels, so derailing isn't a big issue), but don't spam, lyricpost, advertise, or make statements for the sole purpose of upsetting others. Also, no typing quirks.
A: If it runs (a legal) version of Minecraft you can play! You can join on Java. You can join on your phone. You can join on your Xbox or Playstation. You can join on your Switch. You can join on your smart fridge. You can join through astral projection. rUnderMC is cross platform, supporting both Java and Bedrock players simultaneously. Have fun!
A: The season begins on June 1st and ends on August 31st, in accordance with what time most schools experience summer break. This is a yearly event.
A: I dunno its whatever you feel like. Technically since our server derives from a subreddit I think it would be rUnderMC, but as we all call the server 'runder' I'd assume the capitalized version could well be Runder? So it might be RunderMC? idk lol
A: Unfortunately, consoles sort of Suck and it's a bit more complicated to join through them versus like, your phone or PC Bedrock/Java, as they by default only show sponsored Minecraft servers in their Server tabs. I recommend looking at our hosting platform's in-depth tutorials to aid you in your journey. I've linked them below, and there's also a guide on this very page you can take a gander at.
How to join on Playstation // How to join on Xbox/Switch
A: The creative world will remain as-is. The survival world, however, will be reset every season. We're looking into setting up a historical map system through this very website so you can use BlueMap to explore previous seasons, starting with this year (2026).
A: The server is multi-world, so it has a creative (plots) world and a standard survival world.
A: Nope! The server is completely Vanilla. The server has plugins, but those are server-side so you don't need to install anything at all to play.
A: So long as its reasonable, you're allowed to use any clientside mod you want. The only forbidden client modifications are hacked clients and clientside mods that take advantage of exploits (such as X-Ray). You're allowed to use fullbright mod/resourcepacks.
A: The way most Minecraft mods work is by running through the world rather than the client - those mods won't work unless the server has it too. As we're running mod-free, you can only play with clientside mods.
A: No, the server is Vanilla. We've run modded servers before, but a surprising number of users don't know how to install mods and/or don't have a computer that can run them. Plus, a modded server wouldn't be cross-platform.
A: Maybe! If you're interested in us adding a plugin feel free to ping me (__marr) in the #rundermc channel.
A: See Plugin Guide.
A: Yep! Pancake (a bot based on another one of my rabbits) serves as a relay from Discord to MC and from MC to Discord.
A: Players can choose to enable / disable PVP on themselves as they please. If somebody has PVP enabled, you are allowed to engage in PVP with them.
A: The server will be running 1.21.11, but you will be able to join on latest. We will update to the actual latest build when the plugins update.
GUIDE FOR NEW PLUGINS 2026 COMING SOON

A simple add-on to Grief Prevention that allows you to rent, lease, and sell your claims.
Selling a claim transfers it to the buyer once bought. The seller loses all right over the claim once sold. A player cannot sell a subclaim.
To sell a claim, set up a sign as follows:
Anyone can then access the sale information by sneak-right clicking the sign, and buy it by right clicking it. Once bought, the sign is destroyed.
Renting a claim or subclaim gives the player build access for a given period of time. At the end of this period of time, the rent is either renewed, which leaves the buyer build access, or it is not renewed and the player loses all access over the claim.
To put a claim up for rent, set up a sign as follows:
Set up automatic payments using /re renewrent [enable/disable]
Leasing a claim is similar to renting, however at the end the buyer gets to keep the claim. The lease is paid through multiple payments over time.
If at some point the buyer doesn't have the balance to pay, the lease is canceled. Note that payment is automatic.
Anyone can then access the sale information by sneak-right clicking the sign, and buy it by right clicking it. Once bought, the sign is destroyed.
To create a lease, set up a sign as follows:
Anyone can then access the sale information by sneak-right clicking the sign, and buy it by right clicking it. Once bought, the sign is destroyed.

Craft a botany pot by putting a flower pot in the center of a crafting table and surrounding it in a U formation with 5 terracotta blocks.
To craft a hopper botany pot, put a hopper in the slot above the flower pot.
Once crafted, place like any normal block.

Simple plugin that allows you to apply filters to hoppers by renaming them in an anvil (or sneak left‑clicking). You can filter by strings, tags, enchantments, and also use hopper minecarts.
Syntax
No character
A pattern with no prefix is an exact match of the item’s name.
Example: stone means only stone may pass.
,
Splits your conditions.
*
Item name must contain the following string.
^
Item name must start with the following string.
$
Item name must end with the following string.
#
Item must have the specified tag.
~
Item must have the specified potion effect.
+
Item must have the specified enchantment.
=
Item must be named the subsequent string, including renamed items.
Boolean Operators
&
All patterns must be true.
|
Any of the patterns may be true.
!
Negates the pattern — only items that do not match may pass.
Examples
oak_log
Only items named “oak_log” will pass.
^oak
Only items starting with “oak” will pass.
$log
Only items ending with “log” will pass.
*wood
Any item with “wood” in its name will pass.
=awkward_potion
Any item named “awkward_potion” or “awkward potion” will pass, including renamed items.
*wood,stone
Any item with “wood” in its name OR an item named “stone” will pass.
#villager_plantable_seeds
Any item with the “villager plantable seeds” tag will pass.
#animals_spawnable_on&*a
Any block with the “animals spawnable” tag AND the letter “a” in its name will pass.
*oak&!*wood
Any item with “oak” in its name AND NOT “wood” in its name will pass.
splash_potion&~strength_2
Any splash potion with Strength II will pass.
enchanted_book&+mending
Any enchanted book that has Mending will pass.
+mending&+protection_4&+unbreaking_3
Only items with Mending, Protection IV, AND Unbreaking III will pass.
netherite_pickaxe&+efficiency_5&+unbreaking_3&+mending&+fortune_3+silk_touch
Only netherite pickaxes with Efficiency V, Unbreaking III, Mending, AND either Fortune III OR Silk Touch will pass.
Quirks
If an item enters a hopper with no filter, the system checks connected hoppers.
If another hopper has a filter and the item matches that filter, the original movement is cancelled so the filtered hopper can collect it.
This prevents item stacks from being split unintentionally.
OR operator ()
This operator only works within an AND block.
Example:
+unbreaking_3&+fortune_3|+efficiency_5&+silk_touch will not work.
Instead use:
+unbreaking_3&+fortune_3,+efficiency_5&+silk_touch
Sneak Left‑Click Hopper Rename
Sneak + left‑click a hopper to rename it. Two outcomes:
Holding an item:
The hopper adds the item names to a list until you stop sneaking.
Afterward, the hopper only allows those items to pass.
Not holding an item:
The next chat message becomes the hopper’s filter.
This allows writing strings longer than the anvil’s 50‑character limit.
Writing “null” removes the name.
This plugin sends random challenges in chat. Being the first to complete the challenge nets you a prize!
